For the past several months starting February 2024 I have been going to Ft Cavazos in Texas to photograph military families. Many of them are being deployed so with the help of the USO they have provided me with some space to take the portraits. I will continue volunteering my time for many more months. Here are a few photos from some of the portrait sessions. I am still old school and am using my Nikon D850 with a Nikon 28-70 f2.8 lens.

This year once again we will be in beautiful Georgetown, Texas for our 5th photography festival. Join and be inspired. All activities are free.
I would like to thank The Williamson Museum and the staff there for all of their support through the years. Also a special thank you to Julie Copenhaver for her strong support with the production of The Texas Photography Festival. I would also like to thank Linda Nickell for hosting her "Linda Nickell's Happiness Hour Live" and bringing in some great speakers each year. A special thank you to Precision Camera for their continued support for several years. I recently did an interview with "Entertainment Talk with Clay Pool". It's alway fun to share stories about my career including my time as The Presidents Photographer for George H.W. Bush and at the Walt Disney Company.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xtm3V9Tydfg I was invited to exhibit some of my photos taken when I was the Official Photographer at the White House for President George H.W. Bush at the Griffin Museum of Photography in Winchester Ma. January 12-March 31 2024. Other featured White House Photographers include, David Hume Kennerly, Bob McNeely, Adam Schultz, Pete Souza, Shealah Craighead, Eric Draper, Sharon Farmer and Joyce Boghosian.March 18,2023 was the 4th Annual Georgetown Texas Photography Festival that I co-hosted with the Williamson Museum in Georgetown Texas. This year we had a great line up of "Featured Photographers" and again were proud to host Linda Nickell's "Happiness Hour" live at the Georgetown Public Library. We were also excited that Robert McGee and Todd White were special guest speakers at the end of Linda's Happiness House.
The basic schedule was from 10=4pm March 18,2023 on the Square in Georgetown,Texas and at the Georgetown Public Library. Everything was free and open to the public. People who came were inspired. We are also pleased that 3 time Emmy Award winning photographer Todd White hosted 2 separate photo walks. The first one was at 9am leaving from the Williamson Museum and the second left at noon. The City of Georgetown,Texas held it's annual Martin Luther King Parade and Celebration. The parade left from the historic court house in the center of Georgetown. The parade ended up at the Macedonia Baptist Church with a great celebration with prayers and music.
I'm from Texas but grew up in New Mexico. It is always fun to turn to the Land of Enchantment. This year I drove through New Mexico to Sedona Arizona. I had only been there once passing through so this was a great opportunity to spend a few days. I took the Pink Jeep Tours to help me get around to places that I wouldn't know about. Oh and I stayed at the Summit a Hilton Resort. More on that later. The Pink Jeep Tour had to cancel one trip to Antelope Canyon but that was okay due to the heavy rain.
I did a sunset tour during the rain and a trip to the Grand Canyon National Park. The Hilton at the Summit was great. Walking out the door of my one bedroom suite had an incredible view of the Sedona red rocks. The Hilton Grand Vacation's are a great way to stay almost anywhere around the world for free using Hilton Points. After leaving Sedona it was about a 6 1/2 hour drive to Santa Fe, New Mexico were I stayed at the Santa Fe Motel & Inn. In Santa Fe I stumbled across a car show on the Plaza. That was fun to see just because I enjoy going to car shows where I live in Texas. I host the annual Georgetown Texas Photography Festival with my co-host The Williamson Museum in Georgetown,Texas. We are already planning for next years Georgetown Texas Photography Festival March 18,2023. I had an opportunity to participate in the GTX Film Festival held Sept 2021 in Georgetown,Texas at the City Lights Theater. There were films submitted from around the world. I was fortunate enough to be a film reviewer prior to the release of the films. Doing photos for the GTX Instagram was fun. There were 2 of us taking photos. My partner in crime was Lisa Welch a Georgetown,Texas photographer.
Other World Computing (OWC) recently sent some of my photos into space on one of their hard drives on a Jeff Bezos rocket ship, the New Shepard. The images that were on the hard drive are in a previous post. So thankful to Setori Pond and OWC for including me and a few of my photos for this historic event.
